[ENGLISH] Plusle amigurumi english pattern

[ENGLISH] Plusle amigurumi english pattern

Patrón de plusle en español aquí.

A few weeks ago, I posted the pattern for Minun, the Electric-type Pokémon from the third generation, who is inseparable from its partner Plusle. Plusle is identical to Minun except that its charge is positive, so its color scheme is different and its tail represents a positive symbol ("+"). To make it easier, I’ve brought the pattern for Plusle here.

Plusle amigurumi version

🧵 Materials

I will use American abbreviations to make it easy to understand. SC - single crochet INC - increase DEC - decrease CH - chain SLST - slip stitch DC - double crochets

In this pattern, I used red, cream, and black yarn along with a 0.5mm crochet hook. However, you can use any thickness you want as long as you use the appropriate hook. Additionally, I used a needle, scissors, and cotton for stuffing.

Legs and Body:

The legs and torso of this doll are crocheted together, without sewing. This is done by making two legs first and joining them with a chain. Use cream color.

Start with a leg:

1. Magic ring of 6 (6)
2. [SC, INC] (9)
3. [2SC, INC] (12)
4-5. [SC] (12)

Make a knot with a slip stitch and cut the yarn. Repeat steps 1-5 to make a second leg, but do not fasten off, continue to step 6.

6.CH 3, SC around the other leg, SC in each chain stitch, SC around the second leg. (30)
7. [4SC, INC] (36)
8-9. [SC] (36)
10. [4SC, DEC] (30)
11-14. SC (30) -> You can start stuffing the legs to make it the stuffing easier.
15. [3SC, DEC] (24)
16. [SC] (24)
17. [2SC, DEC] (18)
18. [1SC, DEC] (12)

The head is one piece. Use cream color.

The head should fit with the torso and legs. To assemble them, sew each stitch of round 18 of the torso to round 13 of the head.

Arms:

Start in blue.
1. Magic ring of 6 (6)
2. [SC] (6)
3. [SC, INC] (9)
Change to cream color.

Make 2 arms. They should be sewn on both sides of the torso.

Bumps:

Minun has 3 cream-colored bumps, 2 on its ears, and one on its tail:

  1. Magic ring of 6 (6)
  2. [SC] (6)
  3. [SC, INC] (9)

Make 3. Sew each bump as the tail and ears.

Ears:

Use red ecolor.:

2. [SC] (6)
3. [SC, INC] (9)
4. [SC] (9)
5. [2SC, INC] (12)

Positive symbol:

Plusle's tail has the shape of a positive symbol, but with only three points. We will create a red line and then a small bulge that we will sew in the middle to form the plus symbol. In red:

Again in red:

1. Magic ring 6 (6)
2-9. [SC] (6)
10. [DEC] and close.

Bulge:

Magic ring (6)
2-3. [SC] (6)

Sew the bulge to the first piece in the middle of its length, and sew the other side of the first piece to the last cream-colored bulge, which should be sewn to the body:

Cheeks:

Plusle has two red cheeks with the negative symbol inside. In red:

  1. Magic ring of 6 (6)
  2. [INC] (12) Fasten off with slip stitch. Make 2.

Sew each cheek onto the face of the doll. Use white thread to sew the positive symbol inside.

Details:

Eyes, mouth, and nose can be sewn, use safety eyes, needle felting, or glue felt pieces

Video result

Here I show you the process on a vide and I highlight the most difficult points:

✅ Sizes

As always, when working with amigurumi, the materials are important for the final size. I made this same pattern using yarn with a 1.5mm thickness, and as you can see on the following video, the head of the amigurumi is almost as large as the entire microamigurumi.
