[English] BABY YODA AMIGURUMI PATTERN

[English] BABY YODA AMIGURUMI PATTERN
Baby Yoda came to stay. I've comed up with this amigurumi pattern:

You can check up the video-summary:

The pattern is quite simple. First we will make Yoda's body and later we will design the clothing. So we will end up with something like this:

Let's check the pattern. We will need the following:
- Wool: green, brown and yellowish or lighter brown (we need a lighter color for the sleeves)
- Crochet needle.
- Eyes.
- Stuff, cotton or similar.

Notes:
- Instructions between “[ ]” must be repeated throughout the row.
- INC: incremet (2 simple stitches in one stitch from previous row)
- Invdec: decrease only in the inner arch of the single crochet. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPnIYYNC1oU
- Sc: Single crochet
- DEC: decrease (1 sc for two sc from previous row)
- dbsc: double crochet.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xKssKskNzo
- dbdec: double crochet decrease. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnUacn_oImQ
- For each row, I add a number at the end. This number is the total stitches that we should have at the end of that row (it can be used for checking purposes)

HEAD:
Use green
1. Magic ring of 5; 5.
2. [INC]; 10
3. [sc, INC]; 15
4. [2sc, INC]; 20
5. [3sc, INC]; 25
6. [sc]; 25
7. [sc]; 25
8. [sc]; 25
9. [3sc, Invdec]; 20
10. [2sc, Invdec]; 15
11. [sc, Invdec]; 10  --> Stuff head and put the eyes at row 7
12. [DEC] and close.

EARS (make 2):
Ears are a bit complicated, the main idea is to work over a chain, so we will incrementing ears height as we work.
Check the diagram for help.

In green.
1. Chain of 9.
2. Turn around the chain and make a single crochet (sc) 2 stitches away from current stitch.
- sc in next stitch
- sc in next stitch.
- dbsc  in next stitch.
- dbsc in next stitch.
- dbsc and chain of 1  in next stitch.
- dbsc and chain of 1  in next stitch.
Close and sew to every side of head.

BODY:
Green.
1. chain of 15. Attach the begining of the chain with the end, so we will have a ring shape; 15
2-6. [sc]; 15
Close up. Stuff lightly, the body is open on the top and on the bottom.

ARMS/LEGS (make 4):
Green
1. Magic ring of 4; 4.
2-4. [sc]; 4.
Don't stuff.
Sew logs to the bottom of the body. Make sure to close the gap.
Sew arms on each side of the body.

FOOT/HAND (make 4):
Feet and hands are three fingers. We will make them with chains. The following diagram tries to clarify the process. Work in green.

1. Chain of 4, on the first stitch, make a stich to join them.
2. From the last stitch, make a chain of 4, make a stitch to the first of this chain to join this second "finger".
3. Make a chain of 4, and attach the last stitch to the first stitch of the chain and now the last stitch with the first stich of the hand.

Sew each hand/foot to the end of each arm/leg. Take in account that the feet should "face" the floor and hands can be sewed in other positions.

Sew head to body. Our baby Yoda should look like this:
Clothing:
First we should make a sleeve less body vest. We will sew it together on the center and finally we will add the arms and the details on the sleeves.
1. Start in brown, chain of 30
2. [30 dbsc]
3. [3 DBSC, 1 DBDEC].
4. [2 DBSC, 1 DBDEC].
Now we are going to make a little hole to put Baby Yoda's arms.
5. 4 DBSC, DBSC + chain 1, DBSC + chain 1, 10 DBSC, chain 1, DBSC + chain 1, DBSC untill the end of row.
We shiuld have a little hole for Yoda's arms.
6. close with sc the "body vest".
CHANGE TO YELLOW YARN.
7-9. [sc]
10. [2sc]
11. [sc]
Close.

ARMS (make 2):
We should start on the holes we have done on the vest. This is a complicated step:
1. Start working in brown. Around the hole, make 10 sc. This is hard because there are no stitches where we should stich our 10 stitches. Try to spare the stitches evenly around the hole so we will have a ring shape.
2-3. [sc]; 10
CHANGE TO YELLOW
4-5. [sc]; 10
Close.
Lastly, dress up BABY YODA and you should have a little one:
